Cookies Policy
A plain-English guide to the cookies we use, why they're there, and how to switch them off.
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, how Lemon Realm uses them on lemonrealms.tv, and what choices you have. For the full picture on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device — phone, tablet, or computer — when you visit. They let the site remember things like your language preference or whether you've already seen the cookie banner, so you're not asked the same question every time you come back.
Some cookies last only as long as your browser session and vanish when you close the tab. Others stick around for a set period (persistent cookies) until they expire or you delete them yourself.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Keep the site working properly — things like the pricing page, free-trial form, and mobile navigation all depend on them.
- Remember the cookie choices you've already made so we don't pester you again.
- Understand how people move through the site so we can fix what's confusing and improve what's useful (analytics cookies).
- Show promotions that are actually relevant to you — but only after you've given consent (marketing cookies).
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These keep the lights on. The pricing toggle, free-trial sign-up, and mobile menu all need them to function. You can't opt out of essential cookies — without them, the site simply doesn't work.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Saves your cookie consent choice so the banner doesn't reappear on every page | 1 year (localStorage) |
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages get the most visits and how people navigate the site. Everything is aggregated and anonymised — we can't pick out individual visitors from this data.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics — tells unique visitors apart | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Google Analytics — tracks session state | 2 years |
Analytics cookies are only placed after you accept via the consent banner — not before.
Third-Party Cookies
When you follow a payment link to a provider like PayPal or Stripe, those services may set their own cookies on their own domains. We have no control over those. Check their privacy policies if you want the details.
4. Your Cookie Choices
The first time you arrive on our site, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can revisit that decision any time using the options below.
Reset your consent
Hit the button below to wipe your stored preference. The banner will reappear on your next page load so you can choose again.
Browser settings
You can also manage or block cookies directly in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Heads up: blocking all cookies will affect how parts of the site behave.
Opt out of Google Analytics
You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google from collecting data across every site you visit.
5. Changes to This Policy
If the way we use cookies changes — or the rules around cookies do — we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Worth checking back now and then if you want to stay in the loop.
